Is your lawn looking a little bare or weedy? If it is more than 50% weeds or is contaminated with bermudagrass, bentgrass, or nimblewill, your Go Green turf manager will recommend a lawn renovation to achieve desired results.
In our process, we will:
– Apply 3-4 applications of a non-selective herbicide to eradicate all vegetation. This takes place in late July to early September.
– Complete an application of starter fertilizer.
– Evaluate lawn progress and touch up weak areas.
If you choose to do a lawn renovation, instructions will be provided on proper watering and management of the new lawn.
Powerseeding
If your lawn has bare areas throughout the lawn, then powerseeding will be recommended to fill in these areas. The best way to ensure weed defense without chemicals is to have a thick healthy stand of turf. Can be performed in spring or fall, but fall is the best time
Aeration
Recommended for every lawn. Aeration is one of the most important cultural practices in turf management. Louisvilleās soils are predominately clay and compact very easily. This leads to weak root growth, drainage issues, and ultimately poor turf quality. Aeration relieves compaction by pulling cores out of the soil which allows oxygen and water to reach the roots of your turf. Performed in spring or fall.
